Nick began his training in Jiu-jitsu in 1995. His first four years of training were at the Rickson Gracie Academy in West L.A. until 1999 when he made the move to Machado Jiu-Jitsu. He Received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in January of 2006. A veteran of the competition scene, Nicks last tournament was the International Gracie in 2004 where he received the silver medal in the lightweight brown belt division. Since then he has decided to take a break from competing and chosen to focus all of his attention toward working with Rigan and Andre to build the strongest Jiu-Jitsu academy in the United States.

Anyone who has taken one of his classes will attest to the fact that he will make your jiu-jitsu stronger rapidly with his highly technical knowledge and mastery of the basic fundamentals of jiu-jitsu that are so important, yet rarely taught in most academies.

“Ricardo and I think a lot alike, we are getting back to the roots of jiu-jitsu and working very hard to build this academy up to an elite level. The technical quality of our students has risen drastically since the merger, all of our students that have competed recently have either won or placed in their divisions. That is the sign of a strong level of quality students. Keep your eye out for our team in upcoming tournaments. ”
